In case you haven't heard. New Leaf is going to go under unless the membership votes for this new plan. The management and staff of New Leaf support it, and without it New Leaf will have to close within the next year. It's win-win. The NCG's mission is to promote food co-ops throughout the country. And they believe in us. The NCG has deep pockets to make New Leaf even better, except the name will change. So please vote in favor. You can vote online, by mail, or in the store before December 28th.

Why is GTFO the best co-op game on the market?

I've been playing GTFO with a group of 3 other friends for the past half year, almost every Friday.
I really think it's the best co-op game I've played in a long while. But my other friends keep asking me why and it's hard to convince them to join. They'd rather stick with what they know in Destiny 2 or Borderlands.
I tell them it's the art, the stealth, the ambience, and the cooperation. The game looks really polished and definitely delivers an experience centered around spooky horror. The game is meant to be played with friends, and it delivers. I'm also a sucker for super high difficulty games.
To play devil's advocate, I think combat and pacing could be improved. The UI is a tad bit confusing, but it's appealing enough art-wise to motivate a player to figure it out. There are no real retention systems (like unlockables) to keep a player wanting to come back every day, and I get that the high difficulty standard makes it unappealing to play the game solo for most.
Figured I'd crowdsource some more opinions to try and convince my friends to give it a shot.

Top Comment: i do like GTFO, but if you like this you guys should play Deep Rock Galactic. Imho its the one that everybody should be looking at in the coop shooter space these days. I think GTFO has a long way to go to catch up to that level of polish. Wish I could help with convincing but for me I find it hard to recommend because of pacing. Its a bit too precious with bullets. If they are fans of stealth though its really what GTFO is about. Maybe go that angle.
